Key Account Manager (mass market books)

Our client, a highly respected UK & International mass market publisher seeks a very capable and ambitious Key Account Manager to mainly look after their WHSmith national account, as well as other selected other high street trade accounts.

The new Key Account Manager will help develop the publishers growing business with WHSmith (and non-trade high street accounts) selling a highly commercial range of book and books plus products, your role includes creating custom ranges, bespoke, selling high profile licensed, children's as well as commercial illustrated non-fiction titles.

We're looking for sales candidates with an excellent reputation with key buyers and good experience fully running and managing the WHSmith account and able to build great working business relationships and the ability to manage all aspects of the running your own business unit.

We are looking for high performing candidates who can bring their proven publishing sales track record particularly with high street retailers.

This role would suit a hands-on creative sales individual willing to get involved in every aspect of key account management, from building a range, creative selling, planning, presenting to analysing data to controlling their own budget and cost base and to look for new business.

You'll be mainly home based with visits to head office perhaps a couple times a week for sales meetings.
