Licensing Manager

Licensing Manager | Academic | London. A leading academic publisher, based in London, is looking to appoint an experienced Licensing or Rights Manager. This is a new position, reporting to the Head of Global Rights and Licensing and will line manage a team of three colleagues. You will be responsible for delivering the global licensing strategy and ensuring that Licensing revenue targets are achieved and surpassed.
Responsibilities include:
·Achievement of revenue goals for books licensing, including translations, subsidiary licensing, collective licensing, audio books
·Ensures coordination (legal and other) with UK contracts/US contracts teams
Liaison with editorial on licensing activities and results
·Responsbilble for day to day management of collective licensing relationships
·Ensures initial review of new partnership licensing opportunities
·Responsible for the negotiation of single title licensing agreements
·Reports on licensing at GJC Licensing Subcommittee
You will have substantial experience of working within a Licensing or Rights dept. in academic publishing or a related environment; have a proven track record of successful team management; be well organised and have first class planning skills.
Legal knowledge and/or negotiation experience will be a distinct advantage.
