Managing Editor

Do you have substantial editorial experience in book publishing?

Our client, a leading international publisher, is currently seeking a Managing Editor for their Adult Non-Fiction team based in their Oxford offices. The main responsibilities of this role is to manage the print and digital products throughout the publication process. It will be a relationship management heavy role, with regular liaison between Production, Editorial, Design, Sales, Marketing and Digital teams to ensure that the projects are delivered on schedule and to manage the content through all stages of production.

As a result the ideal candidate will be will be an experienced editorial candidate from a book publishing background with extensive knowledge and experience of publishing project management, both print and digital. Experience of managing a mix of in-house staff and freelancers is also desirable. The candidate will possess good IT skills and a solid knowledge of editorial, design and production processes.
