Managing Editor, Medicine & Health Journals, Oxfordshire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a leading academic publisher in Oxfordshire for a talented Editor to join their fantastic team. Our client is looking for an ambitious and motivated Managing Editor to lead on their Medicine and Health Science list of journals.

This role involves list management both in terms of content and budget. In this position you can expect to be building strong relationships with academic editors and contacts across the globe and international travel will be a part of this. You will be commissioning new titles, renewing contracts, identifying growth areas and realising the potential and presenting at editorial board meetings. Leadership, budgeting and forecasting skills will all be crucial in this job.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate success in and editorial capacity within the book or journal environment and ideally with a strong understanding of the academic journal arena. You will be enthusiastic about list management and be highly organised. Experience or interest in the subject areas of Medicine and Health Science will be an advantage in applying for this role.
