Working closely with the Marketing Director, you will work across a wide range of marketing channels including, partnerships, promotions, events, digital and social. In addition; you will support the marketing & PR managers on campaigns across the adult and children’s fiction list as well as establishing new creative ways to reach target audiences.

Offline

  • Support the delivery of marketing campaigns across the adult and children’s fiction lists, managing all aspects of campaigns, including copy-writing
  • Assist PR and Marketing with communications for editorial, authors, agents and sales
  • Write monthly newsletters for all imprints.  Track and report results to key stakeholders
  • Strategic and responsive analysis of campaign results using data metrics
  • Management of campaign budgets
  • Establish new creative and dynamic ways to reach potential readers and book-buyers

Online

  • Daily management of the company wide websites , including all content management and customer service liaison– maintaining the unique position of all the BPF imprints 
  • Work with national industry agencies and services such as Netgalley, & Goodreads etc
  • Management of all social media channels for each imprint with responsibility for growing online communities
  • Oversee the owned, earned and paid for media campaigns
  • Management of video production agencies
  • Management of BPFs blog, including the creation of daily posts
  • Provide administrative support to the marketing team

Skills & Experience 

  • Previous experience in a book publishing role with knowledge of the book publishing market is desirable
  • Have a detailed understanding of social media behaviours, platforms and tools
  • Passion for digital innovation and working knowledge of industry-specific tools e.g. Netgalley and Goodreads
  • Knowledge of WordPress and an understanding of website upkeep
  • Experience in the implementation of SEO, email marketing, keywords, and how to drive website traffic
  • An eye for good design and confident in the use of Photoshop and InDesign
  • Confident in video & editing
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to be adaptable and responsive to tasks as they arise
  • A strong team player with a positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as being a skilled & confident presenter
