Marketing Executive - Education - 11 Month FTC

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prominent, global publisher of educational and learning products in their busy schools and colleges division as a Marketing Executive, working on the secondary list.  Based in their friendly Oxford office this is a marketing role which is initially an 11 month fixed term contract and will include the full marketing mix. This stimulating and very appealing marketing role will contribute to the development of marketing strategy, customer propositions and brand strategy.

 

The role of the Secondary marketing team is to provide the strategic leadership and implementation of customer marketing, of both qualifications and published resources by creating demand for key qualifications and to help grow revenues and drive publishing growth within the secondary school sector. This is a superb chance to gain valuable marketing experience in one of the world`s leading educational publishing and qualifications organisations and responsibilities will involve:

 

Creating marketing objectives, strategies and tactical plans for a Secondary Education portfolio that spans print and digital resources and qualifications.  Within this area you will create, manage and implement marketing campaigns from start to finish using the full marketing mix, delivering all marketing activity on time and to budget, whilst monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of all your key campaigns.

 Other areas of responsibility will include contributing to the development of product propositions and the customer journey to make sure that customer engagement is effective and appropriate.  You will need excellent communication skills as you will forge good working relationships with internal customers and key influencers around the business.

 

This is an 11 month FTC with the possibility to be extended and the successful candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent and able to demonstrate relevant marketing experience, ideally with a proven track record in direct or digital marketing. You will have strong copywriting skills  with the ability to develop powerful messaging for target areas; a good eye for detail and a passion for delivering high standards. You will have good organisational and planning skills, including creation of marketing campaign plans, experience with social media and an excellent knowledge of written English; strong grammar and language skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential.  Previous work experience in publishing or the education sector would be useful but is not essential.
