Marketing Executive, Open Access

Palgrave Macmillan and Nature Publishing Group have been brought together into one global science and scholarly group to better meet the needs of researchers in all disciplines around the world. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Open Research Marketing department for a Markting Executive to be responsible for the planning and implementation of tactical marketing activities for a number of multidisciplinary open research titles, including the flagship open access journal Nature Communications. 

This role requires strong planning and organizational skills, confident writing and proofreading skills, the ability to deliver marketing campaigns to time and budget, and the ability to analyse results and report on the effectiveness of campaigns. 

The successful applicant will also possess the following skills and qualities: 
 

• Digital marketing planning and implementation
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. MS Excel) 
• Creative sense, copywriting
• Numerical aptitude 
• Excellent time and organizational management skills
• Social media marketing expertise and awareness 
• Familiar with Webtrends and Google Analytics

And will have experience of - 
 

• Demonstrable experience of academic, author marketing 
• Experience of developing marketing plans and activities, both offline and digital 
• Analytics and reporting and demonstrating ROI of marketing activity

This is an interesting and varied role, which requires excellent organisational skills, and the ability to juggle simultaneous projects in a busy working environment.
