Marketing Manager

Are you looking for a new Global Marketing challenge in Academic Publishing? We have an excellent Marketing Manager vacancy with a leading London publisher to promote their academic journals platform in EMEA and LATAM.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing lead generative marketing campaigns by identifying the appropriate audience and most suitable channels to have the greatest impact to raise awareness of the publisher’s position in the market and create leads for the sales team to follow up on and convert. You will also be responsible for managing a budget and be able to forecast the expected costs of your marketing activities. In this role, a particular focus of your marketing activities will be academic and institutional libraries across EMEA and LATAM and previous experience in library marketing or Academic publishing would be advantageous.

 

The ideal candidate for this role will have demonstrable marketing skills and experience in managing a digital product portfolio along with sales models associated with academic journals, Open access and needs of academic library market. the role is to support the ongoing growth of revenue and usage for EMEA and LATAM so experience in these territories would also be beneficial.

 

Must have skills include:

 

  • Marketing experience working closely with a sales team
  • Knowledge of academic publishing industry and journals is also preferred but not essential
  • Experience in lead generation in partnership with the sales team
  • Ability to track, report on KPI results and conversion rates
  • Managing a budget
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills
