Marketing Manager, Adult Trade (non-fiction)

The opportunity

 

Bloomsbury Publishing is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and talented marketer to work across the full range of titles within the Bloomsbury Publishing Adult Trade division (Non-Fiction). Bloomsbury’s Trade list has a wide range of distinguished non-fiction from biography to  history to current affairs, and popular science.  Our acclaimed list of authors includes William Dalrymple, A.C. Grayling, Elizabeth Gilbert, David Kynaston, Kate Summerscale, Amy Chua, Alex Bellos, Simon Singh, Patti Smith and P. J. Harvey. This role reports to the Marketing and Publicity non-fiction team leader.

 

The role

 

  • Marketing of individual titles on the Bloomsbury Publishing List trade non-fiction list
  • Produce creative, imaginative and innovative campaigns to maximise book sales and grow author brand awareness
  • Manage individual book title’s marketing budgets
  • Liaise with the global Bloomsbury marketing team ensuring that, wherever possible, Bloomsbury is marketing its titles globally

 

Skills, knowledge, experience

 

  • Experience in a marketing role and experience in trade publishing
  • Creative vision
  • Excellent organisation skills and an ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Good time management skills
  • Good eye for detail
  • Strong interpersonal
  • Excellent copy-writing skills
  • Keen interest in social media and online marketing opportunities
  • Ability to cross-market and work with external brands and organisations

 

This role is based at Bloomsbury’s London office – 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP.
