Marketing Manager – Books
Our client, an international not-for-profit organisation that produces scientific publications for agriculture and the environment, is looking to recruit a Marketing Manager to develop their books and eBooks programme.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the main responsibilities include:
- Planning and executing agreed annual marketing strategy for the book publishing business
- Ensuring the books programme is in line with business objectives and revenue targets
- Analysing and investigating markets, demand and competition, in liaison with Commissioning
- Delivering programmes including direct mail, e-marketing, online, events and social media
- Ensuring that marketing systems and processes are monitored and measured
- Reporting regularly on campaign successes and outcomes
- Managing and maintaining books marketing materials for use by Sales
- Writing impactful copy for online and offline marketing resources and PR activities
- Managing relationships with key agents, booksellers and distributors
- Working closely with editorial teams to identify marketing opportunities
- Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure materials are produced on-time, to budget and quality.
The successful candidate will have solid experience of marketing academic print and knowledge of eBooks marketing is essential. You will be a team-player, with exceptional organisation and communication skills and excellent copy-writing skills. A good working knowledge Adobe InDesign is desirable.
