Marketing Manager – Journals & Communities
Our client, a global STM Publisher requires a Marketing Manager to create and implement the community and title/subject level marketing plans for a group of highly successful journals.
The successful candidate will effectively manage relationships with society partners. Flexibility required to work across product types and formats as required. The candidate should have previous experience in the marketing of scholarly content to a diverse group of customers spanning global markets. Experience with social media as a marketing tool is a plus.
You will be expected to do the following:
- Strategic and operational marketing management.
- Identify key opinion leaders/advocates within our communities and author/editor base and work with them to create engagement opportunities.
- Uses analytics effectively to drive marketing strategies.
- External engagement with society partners, customers, authors and end-users.
- Initiate social media and other campaigns to drive an increase in community members, create engagement and drive awareness of products.
- To deliver marketing campaigns within assigned budgets.
- Able to work with limited guidance from Manager and to offer guidance and support to colleagues with less experience.
Skills & Experience:
- Education to degree level or equivalent
- Product and/or Community Marketing experience.
- Sound knowledge of and interest in the evolving STMS business.
- Marketing planning and implementation
- Good analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Budget management skills
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and to keep sight of key objectives.
- Self motivated
