Marketing Manager - Open Research

Nature Publishing Group are recruiting a Marketing Manager to join its Open Research team.

 

The Marketing Manager, Open Research, is responsible for the planning and implementation of the marketing plans for two of Nature Publishing Group’s open access titles, Scientific Data and Scientific Reports- the largest and fastest growing title within the portfolio. The role will also involve wider support of the departments open access initiatives.

 

Supporting evolving and important titles, this role requires strong planning and organizational skills, the ability to deliver business focused marketing campaigns to time and budget, and the ability to analyse results and report on effectiveness of campaigns, as well the ability to work with senior external stakeholders.

 

Key Tasks, Skills and Knowledge:

 

• Responsibility for the execution and campaign planning of the global marketing and communications for Scientific Reports and Scientific Data , including the planning and management of an annual budget for each title
• Oversee and implement a range of marketing communications tactics
• Analyse and report on ROI of activities
• Achieve specific KPIs as agreed with line manager
• Awareness of global marketing trends and techniques and a commitment to developing marketing best practicey
• Knowledge of managed products and associated communities; awareness of industry trends and developments that target authors, readers and institutions
• Familiar with Webtrends and Google Analytics
• Strong understanding of the open access landscape
