Marketing Manager – Social Science Journals
An academic publisher with one of the most successful track records for growth over the last ten years is looking to recruit a Marketing Manager to join their journals marketing department.
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver results-driven global marketing strategies for a portfolio of journals in the social sciences. Reporting to a Group Marketing Manager the key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement objectives-focused global marketing plans.
- Leverage the full marketing mix spanning digital and offline channels.
- Work with colleagues to create social media and e-marketing strategies.
- Manage external relationships for marketing & support journal contract renewals.
- Attend editorial board meetings to showcase marketing activity.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget for your list.
- Delegate tasks to Journals Marketing Assistants and Marketing Services teams.
- Monitor and analyse campaign effectiveness.
- Monitor competitor activity to feed into overall business intelligence.
- Build successful working relationships with a range of internal stakeholders.
To be considered for this role you will need a minimum of 2-3 years marketing experience within an academic publishing environment. You will need excellent communication skills, effective time and project management skills, to be a self-starter who is creative, innovative and a natural problem solver.
