Marketing Team Assistant (Academic)

An International academic publisher in Central London are looking for a Marketing Assistant, passionate about scholarly communications and product marketing. Your role will involve working across the full marketing mix also including conference booth organising, and social media. In short you will establish a strong foundation for a successful marketing career with potential for advancement.

Key duties:

• Create/Update in-house design of flyers, ads, posters, and banners
• Assist in the creation and roll out of the book author care plan
• Promote specific journals on email, web and social media
• Conduct social media campaigns to key audiences
• Arrange short run flyer printing and dispatch
• Maintain journal ad schedule and collateral
• Source promotional merchandise
• Maintain stock on icebookshop.com
• Coordinate publishing presence at ICE Events
• Coordinate supply of marketing collateral for book sales team
• Monitor metadata feeds to A&I databases

Experience / skills required:

• Proven experience of database and email marketing
• Collateral production, ideally within publishing
• Customer focussed and results driven
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Word and Excel and familiar with Outlook
• Some inDesign or Photoshop experience desirable
• Email marketing experience
• CMS experience
• HTML experience an advantage but not essential
