Marketing & Web Analyst

We have a new exciting opportunity for a Marketing & Web Analyst to join a high-performing, dynamic and close-knit Research & Analytics Department of a highly successful global academic publishing organisation.  Based in the Oxford area this role will support the business in answering a wide range of complex business questions, covering areas such as marketing effectiveness and traffic and content usage drivers.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Providing data, reports and analytics to feed into evidence-based decision-making, especially the Global Marketing Department
  • Support the tracking and analysis of the impact of the company’s various social media channels in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Working with the technology team and other departments to define measurable hypotheses and test results
  • Advising on best practice for creating and analysing split tests and other experiments around increasing ROE from campaigns
  • Ensuring that Google Analytics implementations are working correctly, using Google Tag Manager to track site activities effectively and supporting the business in extracting and utilising data to drive new insights

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A logical, methodical and curious approach to analytics and problem-solving
  • A sound knowledge of statistical techniques and a keen head for figures
  • A meticulous attention to detail
  • The ability to influence effectively
  • Strong IT and relevant software skills, including advanced Excel, Marketing Cloud (or similar mailing client and Google Analytics

Experience with Microsoft Access, Power BI, Excel, VBA, SQL, Python would be desirable.
