Media Relations Executive, STM, London

An exciting opportunity has come up at a leading STM publishing company in Central London. They are looking to recruit a Media Relations Executive to deliver a high quality, proactive public relations service across the company. They will support and raise the company profile to both internal and external audiences and have regular communication and collaboration with colleague in other departments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and distributing press releases, managing the Twitter account and running social media campaigns for the company’s annual awards ceremony. They will be involved with tracking and analysing media and social media coverage and compiling statistics to produce reports based on this feedback. Relationship-building and attendance at meetings are key parts of this role and the Media Relations Executive will be expected to attend events and conferences when needed and work with marketing on creative and effective campaigns.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a PR related field. They will have excellent communication and writing skills and be adept at creating and analysing reports. They will be capable of prioritising their workload, have excellent IT skills and an organised and enthusiastic approach. A keen interest and experience in social media channels is essential.
