Medical Director (Medical Education)

Great senior opportunity for a Medical Director to join a leading medical education company. You will create and deliver evidence-based medical education to global healthcare professionals.  This role can be either home or office based (central London), with travel.

 

Key duties:

  • Create high-quality content for medical education activities to budget, quality and time specifications
  • Identify existing practice gaps and underlying unmet needs
  • Develop strategic needs assessments/proposals that align these practice gaps and unmet needs with innovative solutions to address these needs
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the rules and regulations that govern independent medical education and CPD for US (ie ACCME) and ex-US (ie, EACCME) audiences
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of important clinical issues and trends in assigned therapeutic areas
  • Establish, maintain, and leverage relationships with internationally recognised faculty experts
  • Work closely with faculty presenters to develop high-quality, issue-specific, fair-balanced educational content for live, multimedia, or text-based activities while meeting the project timelines
  • Collaborate with the project team to finalise the educational content, related visuals, and (for online) the audio, video, and animations, keeping to timelines and budget
  • Develop grant proposals/needs assessments weekly for a variety of therapeutic areas and healthcare professionals

Experience / skills required:

  • Advanced medical or science degree is preferred and/or relevant experience in the medical education field
  • Significant experience designing, writing, and editing clinical content for healthcare professionals
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of specific therapeutic areas
  • Knowledge of the rules and regulations overseeing medical education, as well as familiarity with current trends in the industry
  • Solid background and experience in one or more of therapeutic areas and familiar with renowned experts, potential funders and faculty experts
  • Experienced in identifying and obtaining grant funding for medical education
  • Adept at researching, compiling, and analysing clinical and scientific evidence quickly
  • Solid editorial (writing and editing) skills and capability to adapt editorial style for your audience
  • Expert at Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Word
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment
