National Account Executive - Benelux

Palgrave is a leading global publisher of, textbooks and online resources. Reporting to the European Campus Sales Manager, we are seeking to appoint a sales representative who will be responsible for Benelux. 

The role is field based and requires a self-motivated, organised, independent, commercially aware and confident person with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of academic publishing or bookselling would be preferred as would a proficiency in Dutch alongside fluency in spoken and written English. 

Managing your own territory, you will be expected to achieve sales targets by generating new business for all areas of the Palgrave list. You will need to develop relationships with lecturers and universities, identify sales opportunities and win new textbook adoptions. You will also need to maintain, develop and expand bookshop, wholesaler and online seller accounts. You will be required to analyse sales figures, feedback and report regularly and communicate with colleagues in the sales, marketing and editorial departments on a daily basis. 

You will have the initiative to achieve your own goals and to work independently. Good time management and organisational skills are essential as are drive and the ability to achieve targets. 

This is an exciting and challenging position in a key geographical area, which will involve regular travel throughout the Benelux. In return, Palgrave offers a competitive salary, company car, mobile phone and bonus package.
