Online Sales Manager - MENA

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales professional to work with a leading and highly successful global publisher of academic products, within their busy and highly successful online sales team.  Based in Oxfordshire, this role will be responsible for sales across the eBooks and Online Reference products in the Middle East and Africa (excluding South Africa).

 This is an exciting time for the organisation and there is lots of scope for an ambitious individual to progress within the division and shape this role.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with a portfolio of existing customers, increasing your understanding of the customer’s market and specific needs, to provide a tailored sales service.
  • Implement a strategy which identifies opportunity for growth in the territories and achieve revenue targets.
  • Approach and promote eBook and online sales models to institutional customers in order to maximise sales and grow customer accounts.
  • Attend relevant conferences and events to build relationships and prospect for new customers
  • Successfully negotiate and agree sales proposals and licenses
  • Identify promotional needs internally and promotional opportunities externally to maximise revenue, working with the marketing department to ensure delivery.
  • Take responsibility for projects as required within the eBooks and online department.

This role is a consultative and relationship building sales role within a busy and successful department.  The ideal candidate will have relevant, proven sales experience ideally in publishing or a related industry.  You will have a track record of achieving targets, with strong influencing, communication and organisational skills.   You will be self-motivated with a commercial approach to work and a willingness to travel as this role will involve some travel to the territories.
