Senior Campaigns Manager, Ebury

Can you inspire more people to read books that can improve their lives?

Ebury is the home of non-fiction publishing at Penguin Random House UK. We are looking for a dynamic and resourceful Senior Campaigns Manager with a flair for publicity and a passion for books with purpose, to work across some of our most inspiring and thought-provoking books.

Ebury Self’s publishing is focused on bringing readers unrivalled expertise and life-changing solutions across personal development, health, wellbeing, parenting and spirituality.  We publish books that inform, empower and spark new directions from an incredible list of inspirational authors including Gabor Maté, Brené Brown, Yung Pueblo, Kirsty Gallagher and Wim Hof.

The Opportunity

This is a pivotal role for the Self hub’s campaigns team.  Reporting into the Head of Campaigns of the Self Hub this role will be responsible for planning and implementing targeted and innovative publicity campaigns for both our frontlist and bestselling catalogue titles.

You will independently and confidently create, manage and deliver creative and audience-facing campaigns. The successful candidate will be a key voice in our communications team and will bring their knowledge of the publicity landscape and prior experience to produce outstanding campaigns.

You will contribute to every stage of the publishing process, from trend spotting and idea generation, pitches, acquisitions and campaigns, strategy meetings, author events and much more.

You’ll constantly work to build the hub’s network of influencers, media and event contacts to make our campaigns as impactful as possible.

This role will have one line report.

What you’ll bring

Perhaps you’re an experienced Campaigns Manager looking for their next step, or a senior publicist looking to work across bigger campaigns and take on more responsibility for delivering strategy. This is an exciting time to be part of Ebury, who won Publisher of the Year at the British Book Awards in 2024.

You don’t need to have worked in wellness publishing before but a passion for this area is certainly important! What you will bring is some experience in non-fiction campaigns or experience with buying or bookselling which means you have your eye on the market and understand how a publicity campaign will work in this area.

Qualities we’re looking for:

  • *Several years’ experience running campaigns in a busy communications environment

  • *Being able to quickly adapt, respond to trends and pivot to the newest “moment”

  • *Ability to understand markets and analyse campaigns to constantly improve and drive a culture of learning

  • *Fascinated by the media, specifically the wellness and self-improvement industry and always alert to new opportunities to promote books

  • *A motivated self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple projects all with different lead times

  • Line management experience, or having had experience mentoring, tutoring and setting example

  • Commitment to building strong, collaborative working relationship with authors and agents and providing the highest level of author care

  • A confident and trusted partner for other internal teams including Marketing, Editorial, Sales and International, to champion each book

How to apply

If this sounds like your next role, please apply with your CV and cover letter by midnight on Sunday 8th September.

As part of your cover letter tell us about the campaign you’re most proud of from your career so far and why.
