Press Officer

An exciting opportunity has come up for a Press Officer to join a leading independent genre publisher based in central London. This would suit a Publicity Executive looking for their next step.

 

Key duties:

  • Overseeing and managing company press activity
  • Creating and delivering effective PR and promotional campaigns across all genres
  • Managing author and third party relationships
  • Organising book tours and festival attendances
  • Writing press releases, promotional copy and pitches
  • Collaborating on marketing plans

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Good media contacts in press, broadcast and online
  • Solid publicity experience gained in book publishing
  • Personable with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, and Mac proficient skills essential
  • Previous experience managing an assistant desirable
