Product Manager

Our client is a leading international publisher of academic books and journals looking to appoint a Product Manager to focus on a suite of online products for the academic library market. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid Product Management experience to join a prestigious publisher in Central London.

 

Key duties:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the users and buyers, their needs, and the competitive landscape for your products
  • Work collaboratively internal stakeholders, building a shared product vision
  • Deliver business cases for new product concepts, including market research, internal impact assessment and financial projections
  • Lead the process of internal consultation, investment approval, and project kick off for the development of new products in the product suite
  • Lead product enhancements and new products through the development process, including requirement definition, testing, and sign off for launch
  • Contribute to ongoing development of processes and systems to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of product development

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Some previous relevant experience in product management, ideally within the academic / STM / Professional publishing sectors
  • Experience of web analytics tools, wireframing software and usability testing
  • Experience with database-driven online products, delivering business plans and seeing products through to launch
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several projects at a time
  • The ability to build strong relationships
