Product Development Manager – Digital and Online STM Publishing, London

A leading pharmaceutical publisher based in central London is looking to recruit a Product Manager. The main aim of this role is to deliver and launch new, innovative and successful products within this sector.

You will be working within a specific department which holds an extremely successful range of publications which are published in partnership with leading organisation within the medical and pharmaceutical community. They continually to develop new and innovative digital products and services on a range of technical platforms. The business is built on a high value subscription based model and they have now identified several opportunities to exploit this model further by developing and launching new digital products to suit their customer needs.

We are looking for an innovative, product developer with excellent communication skills. You will be the central person who works with the innovation and commissioning teams, editorial and sales teams and also the technical and production teams. You will have a natural ability to bring all teams together to  work towards the common goal so that products are developed within budget and schedule and all stakeholders understand what needs to be done to achieve this. This means that you will need the ability to explain very technical issues or processes to non-technical people. You will also need to show gravitas in your technical and commercial ability and comprehension as you will be creating new business plans and product development plans to very senior stakeholders and you will need their buy in so influencing skills are also key in this role.
