Product Manager – Digital Library

Our client, a world leading professional institute and membership body, is looking for a Product Manager to define and manage the product strategy and roadmap for their digital library.

In collaboration with key stakeholders the Product Manager will develop new features, from specification through to service delivery, whilst managing the loading of new and existing content types and ensuring that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The key responsibilities of the role include;

  • Defining and managing product strategy and roadmap in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Updating key stakeholders on all relevant development work and problems.
  • Maintaining expert knowledge of the developments of competitor platforms.
  • Managing the relationship with platform developers.
  • Specifying, prioritising and creating business cases for new developments.
  • Project managing the development and testing of platform changes.
  • Ensuring that the product is adequately represented by Marketing Department campaigns.
  • Briefing and training salespeople/agents/vendors on the product.

The successful applicant will have proven product management experience with a strong understanding of web technologies, online platforms and subscription publishing. They will be a keen problem solver and have demonstrable relationship management experience with a strong customer orientation and awareness of end-user needs and customer service. Experience in STEM publishing is desirable.
