Product Manager – Geography, Secondary Education, London or Oxford

 

A highly prestigious educational publisher is now seeking a Product Manager for Geography to join their secondary schools learning team based in their Oxford or Central London offices. The purpose of the Product Manager will be to manage proposals for designated secondary school projects and services through the entire lifecycle, contribute to the overall business strategy and be the voice of Secondary Geography teaching, learning and assessment within this organisation.

 

The Product Manager will be required to build a strong understanding of the Geography market within the UK, ensuring that everything being produced is of an extremely high level, meets the market need and is based on evidence. As a champion for this market, the post holder will be required to contribute to the strategy and financial planning for Geography as well as planning the roadmap and lifecycle for products and services to be rolled out in this area. This role will also be responsible for briefing and delivering new products and services that meet the changing needs of teachers and learners and of the secondary education market.

 

The successful candidate will have strong product development or commissioning skills as well as experience in managing both print and digital products through their lifecycle. The Product Manager will have a strong understanding of educational publishing within the secondary education market and in addition, any experience in Geography or teaching of Geography would be an advantage. The successful candidate will be a good project manager, with excellent communication and leadership skills as well as the ability to think strategically and commercially whilst coming up with a creative focus for customers.
