Product Marketing Manager - Social

Our client, a leading scientific publisher, requires an experienced Product Marketing Manager passionate about Big Data applications.

Working across a leading research platform you will work closely with Product team to understand the needs of the users, define positioning and branding of each community in the portfolio and to generate in- and out-of- product life cycle marketing; with the Community team to drive awareness and to amplify all messaging, value stories, and word of mouth to potential and existing community members; and with the Analytics team to analyse behaviour and adjust campaigns accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Target new potential members for each community through full marketing program including in-product cross- marketing, out of product cross-marketing, external marketing and sharing value stories via social awareness campaigns. Drawing upon registrant metrics, employ lifecycle marketing to ensure that registrants claim their profile and enrich them.
  • To drive engagement and momentum within each community - Drawing upon engagement metrics and solid understanding of user needs, drive engagement through full marketing program. Share value stories across the Communities.
  • To ensure that the mix of user demographics match strategic aims in terms of the calibre of the members.
  • To manage the Health of the Network - ensure that demographic mix matches strategic aims - Ensure that all targeting efforts to drive registrations are aligned to agreed strategic aims.
  • To drive cross-pollination of membership and engagement across the portfolio .

Sills & Experience: 

  • Very strong written communication skills
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products/services in the market
  • Communicate the value proposition of the products/services and develop the sales tools to the support sales enablement of related, monetised, products
  • Plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Be the expert on users, how they benefit from products/services; be the expert on the competition and how to identify strategic competitive advantage
  • Develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand for your products/services
