Production Controller

A renowned academic publisher based in central Oxford is looking for Production controller to join their UK Stock Planning department. I am looking for candidates with an interest in print/electronic production process and previous demand planning/manufacturing experience.

Key duties:

• Maximise sales by ensuring maximum stock availability.
• Manage print production and scheduling for a range of print and digital content.
• Managing and coordinating content corrections across a variety of formats.
• Develop good working relationships with internal departments and external suppliers.
• Maintaining corrected content for all products after publication.
• Make decisions on the appropriate treatment of each title based on your previous knowledge of manufacturing.

Experience / skills required:

• Previous experience in demand planning and manufacturing is essential.
• Experience working in a print/electronic product production environment is highly desirable.
• Content management experience is desirable.  
• A good level of computer literacy and ability to use Excel, SAP and APO forecasting systems.
• Ability to prioritise your own workload and remain well organised.
• Good decision-making skills and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
