Production Editor

Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your Education publishing career? We have a great opportunity for a Production Editor with a leading London specialist in school improvement and individual assessment. You will be responsible for the production of print and digital educational assessments and reports; focusing on editorial production.

You must be able to copyedit and proof-read accurately, and will be expected to manage freelance suppliers.  The ability to keep multiple projects on schedule and within budget is essential. You will have excellent administrative skills, a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of typesetting, print and design processes.

You will:

  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent

  • Hold an editorial qualification or a minimum of 2 years’ experience within an editorial/production role.

  • Be proficient working with design applications, specifically with InDesign.

  • Have educational publishing industry experience

  • Be a thorough and meticulous person with a keen eye for detail

  • Be a confident communicator, able to be flexible and diplomatic when dealing with senior colleagues.
  • Have good time-management and organisational skills, and the ability to adapt to change, solve problems and suggest resolutions.
