Production Editor

Our client is a leading academic and professional publisher of books and journals. They also have a huge digital platform where they publish their content and articles.

We are now looking for a Production Editor to join their production team to look after a list of journals. This is a fantastic role as it offers the successful candidate their own list of journals to manage and with this comes autonomy and responsibility.

You will work alongside a Commissioning Editor and you will liaise with authors, the editorial board and peer reviewers as well as manage freelancer copy editors and typesetters to take the content to print.

We are looking for someone with experience in peer reviewed journals ideally. You must be highly organised with excellent communication skills and stakeholder management. You will also be able to project manage several projects at one time.

Skills in excel and MS office are also necessary for this role.

This role will start off being remote and will be reviewed later in the year and will the be based in either the London or Oxford for 2 days a week and 3 days will be from home.

Our client offers excellent benefits alongside a salary of £27,000 .
