Production Editor - Academic Journals

Production Editor | Academic | London. A leading academic publisher in Central London are looking to appoint an experienced Production Editor to join their Books Production team to work on a list of print and digital textbooks. In this role, you will have responsibility for editorial production from typescripts to digital delivery and will work closely with authors, editors and other in-house colleagues.

Responsibilities will include:

·Organizing freelance editors and proofreaders, indexers and typesetters and digital content vendors
·Internal text design and typesetting.
·Keeping multiple projects on schedule and to budget at any one time.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference with a major Academic publisher, improving their work flows and efficiency. You will have experience in an academic editorial production role, ideally across print and digital. You will have a keen eye for detail, design and a good understanding of typesetting and print.
