Production Editor Art and Architecture

Reporting to the Publisher of the Yale London Art and Architecture list, for a fixed term maternity period of 12 months from August 2015, and responsible for managing books through the process of production, this role includes:

• Liaising with authors
• Collating and keying in corrections at typescript and proof stages
• Preparing typescripts or electronic files for the typesetter
• Working with InDesign on layouts and jackets
• Preparing illustrative materials
• Checking and correcting illustration proofs
• Supplying final files to and liaising with printers to receipt of finished books
• Other ad hoc tasks in support of colleagues

Person Specification

• A good knowledge and experience of InDesign essential
• An excellent eye for detail and an enthusiastic and flexible approach
• Ability to manage time effectively and keep to tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
