Production Manager, Academic Publishing (MC15/71)

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and driven individual to join our Academic book production department as a Production Manager.

 

Key accountabilities of this role will include:

  • Managing the overall production of digital and print content across allocated lists
  • Proactive problem solving and identifying training and development needs
  • Working closely with all departments and developing key relationships to assist production processes.
  • Ensuring a high quality product is produced through budgeting including driving and monitoring cost savings
  • Monitoring the quality and schedule compliance of digital outputs, working with internal and external suppliers to improve the retail and institutional electronic products offered by the academic business
  • Overseeing a team of Senior Production Editors and Production Editors

Key requirements:

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Have production experience in print and digital book production

Experience of working under pressure and to strict deadlines

Demonstrable success with working with new technology

Experience of managing and developing a team

Experience of change management
