Production Manager

Macmillan Science and Education, the global scientific, academic, and
educational publishing company, is looking to recruit two Production
Managers to work in their King’s Cross office.

 

Reporting in to the Global Head of Production, the two roles will
complement each other. Production Manager – Workflows will look after
the Palgrave Academic Journals as well as analysing and improving
production workflows, and Production Manager – Systems will look after
the Nature Academic Journals, and focus on production systems
implementation and maintenance. These two roles will also work closely
with a third management colleague, who heads up the US academic journals
team.

 

As the successful candidate you will hold overall responsibility for the
timely production of all journals both online and in print, and be
responsible for all production processes and the management of a
production team. You will be an excellent communicator with experience
of managing a team during a time of change and continuous improvement.
Your experience will have been acquired in publishing production and
will have included significant experience of working with offshore
pre-press suppliers.

Kingdom. The level of appointment will be commensurate with experience.
