Project Account Manager

Our client, a leading provider of scientific information and education products requires a Project Account Manager to join their Medical Education division.

This diverse and exciting role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual with commitment, experience and a passion for producing excellent scientific and medical content to work with the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, medical societies and experts to ensure that their programmes meet the educational needs of the international healthcare audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a large portfolio of independent medical education projects ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and to specification
  • Ensure that a complete brief is obtained for all projects, and ensure that project details are communicated to all stakeholders (internal teams, external vendors, freelancers, etc)
  • Drive the day-to-day project management of all assigned live projects, and be the first port of call for queries during the project’s lifecycle
  • Arrange and lead (where appropriate) project meetings with all internal and external stakeholders to shape and drive projects forward
  • Help to develop Independent Medical Education initiatives and cultivate new opportunities that may arise, in liaison with the Independent Medical education team
  • Edit and proofread medical education content, including Word documents, PowerPoint slides, online-based content, from internal editorial staff and external Experts in a range of scientific and clinical therapy areas to a high standard
  • Organise and run Independent Medical Education conferences, symposia and workshops for healthcare professionals including, but not limited to, sourcing venues, inviting delegates, flight and accommodation logistics, Faculty management, 3rd-party vendor engagement and liaison, on site attendance and management

Skills & Experience:

  • Highly organised and proficient in project managing multiple projects at any one time
  • Strong editorial background, including experience with the editorial process, and editing and proofreading skills
  • Familiarity with event management
  • Pro-active, resourceful and a good team player
  • Passionate about producing high-quality scientific and medical content, tools and resources to help healthcare professionals give the best possible care for their patients
  • Adaptable and willing to take on new and different responsibilities as they arise
