Project & Client Relationship Manager

We have an opening for a Project & Client Relationship Manager with a global publishing services company providing solutions for scholarly publishers. Primarily based in the company’s office in Oxfordshire, this is a client facing role requiring some travel.

Key duties:

• Responsible for the successful and timely delivery of allocated projects
• Manage business relationships with key clients and take responsibility for client satisfaction
• Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure expectations are in line
• Produce and update project schedules and other documents for each assigned project
• Track, measure and review project progress, updating plans accordingly and communicating changes
• Manage project and relationship risk and resolution, escalating risks to stakeholders as appropriate

Experience / skills required:

• Extensive project management experience in software development, ideally within publishing
• A proven track record of managing and developing strong relationships with clients
• An understanding of the scholarly publishing industry
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and the ability to resolve difficult situations
• Experience of managing complex software projects and the software implementation workflow
