Project Editor (12 Month FTC)

Are you experienced in illustrated book publishing and available immediately?

We have a fantastic contract opportunity in an editorial team. If you are a talented Editor with strong project management skills and editorial flair this could be a great opportunity for you. Our client is an established and leading trade publisher based in central London and they are looking for another Project Editor to join their busy team on an initial 12 month contract, with the potential to be extended.

As Project Editor you would work on multiple projects in the travel team. You would be responsible for overseeing titles from the initial concept to the final product. Key tasks would include planning books/series with colleagues, briefing and liaising closely with internal and external editors, designers and authors and project managing titles ensuring they are published according to schedule and budget.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working on integrated, illustrated books with an excellent understanding of the editorial process and an eye for design. You should have a creative personality with a resourceful and adaptable attitude in the workplace and the ability to work effectively both as an individual and a member of a team.
