Project Editor

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Editor to join a well-known publisher of illustrated non-fiction based in Central London. Joining a friendly and growing team, you will work in-house across all publishing ventures.

 

Key duties:

  • Work closely with the editorial team to ensure projects are produced on time and to budget
  • Provide strong editorial support and creative contribution to new projects
  • Work on copy-editing, writing copy, fact-checking, record research and proof-reading
  • Review licensed projects to ensure they are in keeping with the guidelines and approvals process
  • Liaise with internal departments

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Previous editorial experience in illustrated book publishing, partworks and magazines
  • Experience of multitasking and meeting strict deadlines and schedules
  • A strong team player with exceptional organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong proofreading ability
  • Keen eye for detail with a flexible approach
