Project Lead or Senior Project Lead

A global educational publisher is seeking a Project Lead or Senior Project Lead (depending on skills and experience) to join their custom publishing team, based in London. This role offers an excellent salary and benefits package, and hybrid working (3:2 pattern), as well as long term career development.

Working as part of the custom publishing team the Project Lead / Senior Project Lead will have day-to-day responsibility for the project management of print and digital projects from proposal through to publication, and be responsible for driving and directing the project team (authors, internal staff, and external suppliers and freelancers) to project manage the resource, schedules, budgets, and delivery for a range of print and digital products from proposal through to publication, ensuring quality and value targets are set and met. The Project Lead / Senior Project Lead will have a varied and pivotal role, where they'll liaise with stakeholders across the business. The Senior Project Lead will also take responsibility for the proposal evaluation stage of new projects.

The ideal Project Lead / Senior Project Lead will possess solid experience of managing multiple components in a publishing environment as well as knowledge of the processes for print and digital publishing and of related technologies and systems. A good understanding of budgets and preparing project P&Ls alongside strong organisational and editorial skills will be important. An understanding of the global ELT market will be highly valuable as will experience in the education sector either as a teacher or through having worked in educational / ELT publishing.
