Project Manager

A leading educational publisher is looking for a Project Manager to deliver high quality print and digital learning projects. The successful candidate will be the key owner and central liaison for each project and will have experience managing complex projects within publishing.

 

Key duties:

  • Manage all projects from inception through to delivery, including QA, budget, schedule, risk mitigation
  • Develop and execute detailed project plan, monitor and manage responsibilities, managing changes
  • Contribute at scoping meetings to define project details and advise on best solution
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with all stakeholders on project status
  • Identify and resolve problems, escalating critical issues
  • Work closely with vendors, freelancers and teams in different regions

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven experience of project managing complex print and digital projects within publishing, preferably Educational
  • Experience of creating and managing budgets and schedules and of working to tight deadlines
  • Experience of working in an editorial or production role within publishing
  • Excellent communication skills with experience of managing teams and freelancers based overseas
  • Experience of database and systems maintenance, with a good knowledge of MS Office and ideally InDesign and XML mark-up language
  • Good analytical thinking with ability to work under pressure and solve problems
  • Flexible, can-do attitude with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
