Project Manager (Editorial)

We have two exciting opportunities for an experienced Editorial Manager or Technical Editor to join the market development department of a leading professional publisher based in London on a permanent basis.  Working across an allocated sector, the role requires a strong background in editorial project management and business development in a professional/academic/STM publishing environment.

 

Key duties:

 

  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of standards publications to time and budget
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with committee members and external organisations
  • Work with colleagues to develop new ideas for products and services
  • Maintain market awareness in key business areas to identify new opportunities for growth
  • Liaise with public and private sector boards to maximise opportunity and customer satisfaction

 

Experience / skills required:

  • Established editorial experience in a professional, STM or Academic publishing environment
  • Solid project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proven experience of liaising with committees and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation/influencing skills
  • You will have a proactive approach, commercial awareness and be results oriented
