Project Manager, South East

Our client, a leading educational publishing based in the South East and within commutable distance from London, is looking for a Project Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the Editorial Manager and work on the delivery of bespoke single and multi-component projects across both print and digital product streams. They will manage the schedule and budget for each project and communicate progress to all stakeholders.

The Project Manager will also ensure that all project team members understand their designated responsibilities and will manage any changes that may arise as well as monitoring the financial progress of the project. Market research is an important element of the role and the successful candidate will keep on top of market trends in order to inform decisions. They will be an effective communicator and will assist with training and mentoring of junior staff members.

Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent ideally with some formal project management training. They will have demonstrable experience of working in a role that involved managing large and often complex projects. Experience of managing freelancers and external resources is important for this role as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. An understanding of XML mark-up language, InDesign and Acrobat would be advantageous.
