Publicist

An independent trade publisher is looking for a creative Publicist to join their small team in central London. You will work on a diverse and exciting range of front and backlist non-fiction and fiction titles. This role would suit an experienced Publicity Executive who is looking for a step up.

Key duties:

  • Create innovative and successful campaigns for fiction and non-fiction imprints
  • Build relationships with authors and media relations and secure high-profile media coverage
  • Arrange interviews, bookshop events and festival appearances
  • Liaise with colleagues in New York on shared titles
  • Work with special interest groups and organisations for specialist titles
  • Keep up to date with industry news and developments

Experience / skills required:

  • Publicity experience in non-fiction publishing
  • Resourceful and proactive in developing campaigns and sourcing media coverage
  • A good network of media contacts
  • First class interpersonal skills
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
