Publicist

A well-known international university press is seeking an experienced Publicist to join their London office. You will develop publicity campaigns for an exciting range of books across the sciences, humanities and arts.

 

Key duties:

  • Create and implement publicity campaigns for assigned titles
  • Secure coverage and reviews across print and online media
  • Build relationships with authors as well as media contacts in the UK and internationally
  • Work closely with colleagues in the US to share ideas and coordinate plans
  • Attend and assist at events and conferences

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven track record of publicising books
  • Good contacts in print and online media and proven success generating media coverage
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with authors and on events
  • A creative approach and ability to engage with complex subjects
  • An interest in science, culture and current affairs would be beneficial
