Publicity Assistant

Scholastic is the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books, and in the UK is home to authors and illustrators including Philip Pullman, Julia Donaldson, Axel Scheffler, Roddy Doyle and Liz Pichon, and series including The Hunger Games, Horrible Histories and Captain Underpants. We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic individual to join our London team as a Publicity Assistant.

 

As Publicity Assistant you will support Scholastic’s Trade Publicity department in building and maintaining the profile of the company’s authors, brands and titles which will ultimately support sales. You will provide support across all publicity campaigns, and work on allocated titles, as well as assisting with the wider PR initiatives such as our events programme and awards submissions.

 

This role requires an enthusiastic can-do attitude, outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure whilst remaining organised in all aspects of your work. Ideally, you will have experience in Publicity and/or Marketing preferably in the Publishing industry as well as enthusiasm and the drive to succeed. You will also have professional experience of writing, editing and proofreading in a communications environment across multimedia platforms.
