Publicity Assistant

Do you have a passion for PR and publicity and experience working in book publishing?  This Publicity Assistant role is a rare opening with an independent publisher in central London and provides the opportunity to assist the Head of PR and manage your own campaigns across a range of non-fiction, fiction and children's books.

Key duties:

•          Support the Head of PR and team with administration tasks and projects

•           Act as first point of contact for media enquiries

•           Provide support with PR campaigns

•           Write press releases

•           Research media for PR coverage

•           Book travel and accommodation for authors

•           Order and dispatch show cards

•           Design and produce flyers for events

Experience / skills required:

•          Some publicity experience in book publishing

•           Experience writing press releases and dealing with media enquiries

•           Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•           Creative and motivated

•           Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise

•           Experience using Gorkana publicity database would be a plus
