Publisher
A national cancer charity is looking for a Publisher to develop a new publishing programme alongside their existing online information and award-winning booklets. This role is based in their Buckinghamshire office and has line management responsibilities.
Key duties:
- Line manage members of the medical writing team
- Oversee the financial management of the Associations’ publishing work, in all formats/media
- Oversee the commissioning, production, and publication of new and existing titles
- Devise and implement a publishing and patient information strategy and plan
- Develop high quality products for a health professional audience
- Ensure that editorial policies, guides, and standard requirements are adhered to
Experience / skills required:
- A proven track record of achievement commissioning new product is required
- Experience of working in a management role within a publishing is required
- Experience of online and offline publications development is highly preferred
- Experience of working in a health or medical-related publishing environment is highly desirable
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Strong budgeting, business planning and financial monitoring skills
- Ability to think strategically and creatively with forward-thinking and entrepreneurial attitude
