Publisher Account Manager

The UK’s leading provider of services for the book industry has an opening for a Publisher Account Manager. If you are a strong customer services / account management professional with experience of the book trade, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Key duties:

• Understand and interpret customer requirements to maintain a satisfied client base and increase revenue
• Negotiate and secure subscription renewals with key accounts
• Show a knowledgeable product understanding – offer solutions / support to clients with system queries
• Use Excel to produce reports for clients; data manipulation
• Create PowerPoint presentations for board level client presentations and industry conferences
• Liaise with internal colleagues to ensure delivery guarantees are met
• Ensure quality control in all publisher servicing output

Experience / skills required:

• Strong relevant customer services / account management / sales admin / market research experience
• Knowledge of the book trade (experience in publishing / book retail)
• Advanced Excel skills and a good knowledge of PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills plus strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Confident answering queries by phone / email
