Publisher, Health Sciences, Oxfordshire

A leading global academic publisher based in Oxfordshire is now seeking a Journals Publisher to join their friendly and successful publishing team working across their Medical and Health Science portfolio.

Reporting to the Editorial Director, the Publisher will oversee the management and development of journals within this list with a particular focus on the growth of the portfolio. This position will also require day-to-day management and providing leadership to members of the editorial team.

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent as well as significant experience in academic journal publishing. This is a crucial role within the organisation and they are for a candidate with sound commercial acumen, and the ability to turn innovative ideas into a commercially viable product. Strong communication skills are absolutely essential as well as the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with societies and editorial board members. Familiarity with the subject area would be an advantage, as well as an awareness of the challenges facing journal publishing in the 21st century.
