Publishing Assistant

An independent medical publisher based in Oxfordshire is looking for a resourceful individual to join their small, talented team. The role covers editorial, production, and marketing responsibilities for a mix of print and online healthcare resources. This is a highly varied role which offers good career progression.

 

Key duties:

  • Assist in the production and marketing of both print and online products
  • Update product websites as required
  • Manage social media communications
  • Provide administrative support and holiday cover as required
  • Proofread and provide general editorial support for print and digital products
  • Maintain BooksOnix metadata

 

Experience / skills:

  • Prior experience in publishing is required
  • Experience in medical publishing/ the pharmaceutical industry is highly desired
  • InDesign experience is highly desired
  • You will ideally have a relevant life sciences degree
  • Strong organizational ability is essential as is versatility and a keen attention to detail
  • A solid understanding of social media and/or SEO techniques would be a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge or expertise that would broaden the skill base and/or enhance the creative output of the company is highly desired
