Publishing Editor
Our client is a leading STM & academic publisher based in central London. They are looking for a Publishing Editor to join their STM team working across their Medical and Life Sciences journal portfolio. The successful candidate will manage and develop that list and support the Publisher in maintaining and improving the editorial and academic quality of the products.
In this role you will:
- Manage and develop the list
- Keep close contact with journal editors
- as well as the marketing and Open Access team and the journal Editor to increase submissions
- Develop annual strategic plans for each journal
- Prepare internal and external reports
- Represent the company at conferences and exhibitions
- Launch and develop new journals as required

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in journal publishing and excellent IT skills. You will have experience in project management and the ability to juggle various projects within assigned timeframes, and the confidence to work independently and the ability to liaise with key industry figures. An understanding of medical/life science subjects is essential.
